ABOUT Ms. Lily

Lily Dunbar was born and raised in Rural Vermont on a dairy farm. Her mother started teaching her art when she was just a toddler, and taught her art classes all the way through her senior year of high school. To say that she was raised in a creative environment is an understatement. This passion for the arts followed her into her college years where she studied Biology, focusing on microbiology, chemistry, and physics, but still finding time to fit in the art classes like painting, drawing, and book making. She graduated top of her class from Northern Vermont University with her Bachelor of Science.

After taking some time off because of COVID-19, Lily decided to head back to school to get her Master's in Art Teaching from Maine College of Art and Design. She worked through their ten month intensive program, doing her student teaching in both an elementary school and a high school.

Lily's out of school hobbies include rock climbing, traveling, and being outside. She is an artsy outdoorsman with a love of adventure and experiences. Her motto is "Even if it isn't fun, it will probably make a great story."
